Elegant Farm Wedding

The wonderfully talented Tec Petaja, recently sent in the beautiful wedding below and I’ve been waiting anxiously for the perfect time to share it with you. I don’t have very much information on their wedding, but what I do know is I absolutely love the elegant yet understated details incorporated throughout like burlap hanging over chiavari chairs, lovely white hydrangeas, and beautiful calligraphy gracing the tabletops….swoon! Plus, how can you resist a wedding with such a charming location and gorgeous couple?

A Mad Men Wedding

I’m not one to post a lot of celebrity weddings or magazine scans on Once Wed, but when I spotted Christina Hendricks wedding to Geoffrey Arend in the recent issue of In Style Weddings…I couldn’t resist sharing a bit here with you. Not only am I huge fan of the show Mad Men, but their flowers were designed by Saipua and they dressed their entire bridal party in vintage…swoon.

Happy Holidays!

We’ve been up to some fun things here at Once Wed and had one incredible year.  As I look back over 2009, I feel so incredibly humbled and blessed to be a part of something like this. Thank you for continuing to come back every day and support what we do here. I truly hope that Once Wed brings a little happiness and beauty into your life because you guys certainly bring a whole lot of it into mine. It might be a little quiet on the blog over the holidays as we upload 200 new weddings onto the site, but we will be checking in every once in a while and plan to post a fun DIY project for New Years very soon…

Lisah + Jeremy II

They found Barndiva in Healdsburg, a restaraunt which prides itself on sourcing all things from local farmers and ranchers. The spot is shaped like a modern barn which appealed to Lisah who had always wanted that relaxed, understated country feel. The couple were married in the Barndiva Gardens and held the reception outside under the lighted mulberry trees.
